Wednesday Message 3-15-17
“Happy are those whose way is blameless, who walk in the law of the Lord. Happy are those who keep his decrees, who seek him with their whole heart, who also do no wrong, but walk in his ways.” Psalm 119:1-2
Ya, I’ll bet they’re happy! But who among us is blameless? Who among us keeps all God’s decrees? Who hasn’t broken a commandment, if not in deed in thought?
I guess I’ll never be happy!
But I have happiness in my life, because I know that God raised Jesus from the dead, despite me not seeking God with my whole heart, and probably because of the wrong I’ve done!
The Resurrection of Jesus wasn’t about my perfection; it was because of my imperfection.
The Resurrection of Jesus isn’t about my love for God; it is about God’s love for me [and a few others 🙂 ]
The Resurrection of Jesus won’t ever be about my death; it will be about my life forever with God.
And I am happy about that, even though I am not the happy one of Psalm 119!
Peace in our journeys,
Pastor Steve Melde
