I’ll admit that sometimes I have a hard time accepting others’ generosity. It’s so humbling. It feels like the other person is in control, that I am not, that I am less able to take care of myself… etc.But I love to be generous! It’s such a good feeling to help others, to give.
“It’s better to give than to receive” is what I was taught.
And yet, it’s a good place to be, not just for me for the other being generous.
You see, I have my opportunities to be generous, and I need to allow those for others. It’s about being in a relationship. It’s just what we do, or what we can do. It creates a good balance among all of us.
The life of a Christian needs to be a mixture of sharing and receiving generosity.
How’s your balance?
