A brief connection to God’s Spirit in the middle of the week.
Lord, Let the sun shine.
We send a dove, may it return with an olive branch.
It feels like Noah’s flood all over again. We need dry land.
And thank you, that in the midst of our needing help you have taught us how to help each other. Thank you for the leaders who have had to make difficult decisions. Thank you for the first responders who have had to leave their families to take care of others. Thank you for the volunteers who showed up with their boats to rescue people and pets trapped by the flooding waters in their homes. Thank you for people who came from other cities and towns to help. Thank you for those who sent money, who sent prayers, who sent supplies. Thank you for those who foster pets, and families, and cities. Thank you for the prayers… for they bind us together as the one people you know we can be.
Thank you for helping in the midst of our need by enabling us to help each other. May we make you proud.
Peace in our journeys,
Pastor Steve Melde
