(1 Kings 17) Last Sunday in worship, I shared the story of Elijah and the widow. It’s a strange story, and in some ways harsh, but for me this time, the underlying lesson is important.
Neither Elijah nor the widow understood God’s reasons for what God had asked them to do. Both of them were at the ends of their ropes. The widow had barely nothing and was asked to give even that.
But miraculously, her generosity was able to last for many days.
God Does Amazing Things: When you can’t, God will.
Hey…. it’s God’s plan. And if it’s God’s plan, then God will make a way for it to happen. You may not always like the details, but you have to learn to trust in the plan.
Work for what’s right. Don’t let others hurt you. But be willing to do your part in the plan, even if it means…. you sacrifice. God’s in the plan. It’s God’s plan. And God will make possible what you and I see as impossible.
Do your part. God is doing God’s part.
Peace in our journeys,
