Wednesday Message 7-12-17
It’s amazing what rain can do here in the Sonoran Desert. The first Monsoon storm of 2017 rolled across Tucson, and the excitement and relief was palpable! People were seen standing outside in the rain with their hands outstretched (until the lightning lit the sky); the air was filled with the wonderful smell of the creosote bush celebrating the oncoming rains; the news had exciting things to talk about; the trees and cacti gulped deeply; and a general feeling of relief flooded over all life here.
Funny how rain can make a difference.
It was a reminder for me that the rains do come. The seasons do change. Life does renew. God’s plan is in action.
It’s just hard to live through the “dry” times.
So, let this be a reminder that the dry times don’t last forever. The Spirit of God is always near, and you will know, again, in due time.
Trust the plan… of God.
Peace in our journeys,
Pastor Steve Melde
